Australian opals retain their color and brilliance even when exposed to heat, changes in climate, moisture, or water. These opals are resistant to mild chemicals like dish soap and hand soap, but contact with harsher substances like bleach or ammonia should be avoided.
Opals have a hardness of approximately 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale. This means they are relatively soft compared to other gemstones like diamonds (which have a hardness of 10) or sapphires (with a hardness of 9). While opals are not extremely fragile, they are susceptible to scratching, cracking, and breaking when exposed to hard impacts or sharp objects. Therefore, it's important to handle opal jewelry with care, especially rings that are more susceptible to impact.
When exercising or performing physical work, it is advisable to remove your ring or other opal jewelry to prevent damage.

And of course, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Therefore, we naturally comply with the "distance selling" law, which protects you from any potential disappointment!
Return period
This means you run no risk buying individual opals and/or jewelry from us. After receiving your purchase, you have a 14-day return period.
Opal2Wear will reimburse all payments made by the consumer, excluding any delivery costs charged by the entrepreneur for the returned product, without delay, but within 14 days of the date on which the consumer notifies them of the withdrawal (moment of cancellation). The refund is free of charge for the consumer. If the consumer opted for a more expensive delivery method than the cheapest standard delivery, the entrepreneur is not required to reimburse the additional costs for the more expensive method.
